I thought it would be fun to post a few sketches of drawings I'm working on for the future.
Sketches for Killing the Pisser.
Sketches for Man on Wire.
A collection of work by the artist David Sarallo {which is, in fact, a pseudonym...and an anagram}. Work consists of pen and pencil drawings as well as photography and painting. Check out my website and store at https://davidsaralloart.squarespace.com

Zoamion In Progress 3 (Complete)
And the final version. Again, take what you want from it. More small people to the right standing in a shallow pool of water, bare trees to the left, also in shallow water, a set of eyes, and minor additions here and there. That was fun. I might do that again...show the progression of a drawing.

Zoamion In Progress 2
Here's the update on the drawing. What's been added is really just design, patterns I've used before, patterns that are meditative to do. Also, if you're able to, flip this drawing upside down.

Zoamion In Progress 1
This is a drawing that I have begun. I thought it might be fun to show its progress as I work on it. "Zoamion" is the name of an imaginary place filled with adventure, battles between good and evil, and so on. I won't tell you what the individual elements are or what they mean. You should decide and imagine for yourself.

Photography Four
A little more photography and then it's back to drawings.
This is Millennium Park in Chicago being built. The photo was taken in 1999 I believe.
Lincoln Park in Chicago. Autumn.

Photography Three
Construction of the Trump Tower. This isn't even really an art photo, just a cool shot of something huge being built.
Looking into the sun with Marina City on the right.
A nice shot of a downtown L platform in the rain.
The Chicago River with the Trump Tower on the right. Taken from the Michigan Avenue Bridge.
Flower bed in front of a home in the Gold Coast. Again, not so much an artsy shot, I just like it.

Photography Two
North Pond in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Again, done with a simple camera with film, not a digital. This photo was not manipulated at all.
By North Pond in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Facing south.
Same path, facing north.
This is South Pond before they put up a boardwalk around it. I kind of miss the way it was.
And North Pond again, from the west side facing south.

Photography One
So look, I've decided to post all visual art I've done...photographs, paintings, and so on and so forth. But please, if you get a chance, go back and check out some of the stuff I posted when I first set up this gallery.
This is a black and white (obviously) of an alley in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago. It actually might be a little bit closer to Old Town. At any rate, that's the general area.
Keep in mind, these are scanned from the photographs themselves. I do not have a digital camera. Any effects done are done post scan. Obviously, I've played with this shot of the north side of Chicago, taken from Lincoln Park, from one of the lagoons. In the summer time, you can find folks canoeing and fishing in the lagoon.
A shot of winter from my window in Lakeview. When it has been really cold, the area around my window ices over on the inside.
One of my favorite pictures...North Pond in Lincoln Park. I like making photos look old...for example...
Yep, that's Al Gore. And Arby's. This was taken quite awhile ago when Gore was Grand Marshall at the St. Patrick's Day Parade. I've very proud of this shot.
Thanks for checking them out, folks. I'll post more in the days to come.
